Our range of services

Over the years we have developed experience in all aspects of dental care, but in certain cases we may refer patients to colleagues who have special skills in certain types of treatment e.g. implants, orthodontics, oral surgery.

Private treatment is also available i.e. teeth whitening, and we will be happy to explain the options and costs. Our independent hygienist, Elaine, is available for morning appointments for those who require a more intensive clean.

Caring for you

If you have any worries about visiting the dentist, we can help you overcome your anxiety. Our team of dentists and nurses take particular pride in making your visit pleasant. All age groups are welcome to register.

We always regard children as very special patients and do everything to make their visits as pleasant as possible. Our main aim is to help them form good habits, which will prevent problems with their teeth in later life.

As a caring practice we take all necessary precautions to safeguard you against cross-infection. The recommended guidelines are followed with regard to the sterilization of instruments and use of disposable items.

We keep up to date with all the latest techniques through regular attendance at post-graduate and continuing education courses.

Registering with the practiceCleaning brushes

If you are over 18, you can register as a continuing care patient. This arrangement entitles you to receive NHS care within the practice. You can register your children with the practice every year. Once they are registered, they can in addition to normal NHS treatment, receive preventative advice and treatment such as fissure sealants and topical fluoride if necessary.

Dental modelAppointments

You can make an appointment by telephone or can visit the surgery directly. Please give as much notice as possible if you have to cancel an appointment. We will charge if you do not give us 24 hours notice.

EmergenciesSupplies

If you, your family or your friends should be unfortunate as to suffer a dental emergency, contact the surgery during opening hours as soon as possible and one of our dentists shall make every effort to have you seen as soon as possible. We see all new patients as well as registered patients in emergencies. Please note that new patients may have to pay an independent fee to be seen in such a case.

FluoriGuardHow to pay

Our practice accepts cash, cheques and credit cards. It is our policy that payment is settled at each appointment. However, there are exceptions; for long courses of treatment, payments can be made in instalments at each visit. All fees are payable in full by the end of a course of treatment.

If you qualify for free treatments under the NHS, we will be able to discuss the details and give you advice. Remember, if you are under 18 or in full time education with an exemption certificate, then you qualify for free NHS treatment.

If you are worried about the cost of dental treatment or find any point about charges difficult to understand, please let us know.

Reach Mint DentotapeDental care

The breakdown products of food and drink attack the tooth enamel, gum tissue and bone, causing tooth decay and gum disease. We need to remove these food particles as soon as possible after eating. The longer we leave food around our teeth, the longer our teeth and gums are under acid attack.

Brush mornings and evenings

Avoid an excess of sweets, snacks & sugary drinks

Visit your dentist every 6 months

Remember we prefer to prevent gum disease. During routine examination we look for any abnormalities including oral cancer.
